Custom compliance program and IPO-readiness for meal kit delivery company

Client: Leading DTC Brand

Opportunity

Our Client was pursuing an initial public offering, and needed core compliance programs as a prerequisite. Foodwit was hired to conduct a preliminary gap assessment, and implement a custom compliance solution in a truncated timeline.

Approach

Foodwit engaged in a 10 week sprint to help the client become IPO-ready. First, Foodwit conducted on-site facility audits, key stakeholder interviews, and C-suite engagement to drive executive sponsorship of the program adoption. Following the creation of a core team of resources, Foodwit led the development and implementation of prerequisite compliance programs including a custom go-to-market cross-functional process and risk-mitigation strategies for supply chain volatility.

Result

  • Facility registration
  • Successful Agency audit
  • Implementation timeline accelerated from 6 months to 10 weeks.
  • Recommendations for key hires, org planning, and staffing plans
“Completing the regulatory due diligence process leading up to the IPO was an incredibly daunting task for our in-house Legal team.  Foodwit’s partnership was critical as we prepared for the hot seat - they deftly mapped our regulatory progress and made critical recommendations for foundational compliance, setting us to confidently address challenging questions from outside counsel.”
